Video: CSI to stop accepting new Med Supp apps in Illinois Feb. 15, 2015

Central States Indemnity (CSI) will stop accepting new apps, so be sure to contract with the new carrier, CSI Life.

Effective February 15, 2015

Illinois agents - if you are contracted with CSI, you should have received an email in the last few days, stating that effective February 1, 2015, CSI is no longer going to be accepting new applications in Illinois.

We want to make sure that there is no alarm, and that we've known this was coming, since CSI Life – their sister company – just entered Illinois about three months ago in October.

Things are going absolutely marvelous with CSI Life - very strong rates, the service is the same with the same folks administering the business, handling the claims and commissions, all the things that pertain to Medicare Supplements.

So we knew it was a matter of time before CSI, the original carrier, would be phasing out. That's going to happen February 1, 2015. Many of you have had CSI for several years, but have not contracted with CSI Life. Even though they're owned by the same group, it is a separate contract, so we want to make sure that we get you appointed.

CSI life has much more competitive rates, it's Berkshire Hathaway owned, administered by the same people, and the main difference is the comp. We have another video that explains how commissions are structured.

The bottom line is that is you are a 50-app producer in a 15 month window, this is probably going to be the best comp we have. We have several producers who have already reached Tier II by writing 50 apps.
