The relationships Aetna has built with you is at the core of their business. That’s why they are constantly looking for ways to offer better services and resources for their agents. They understand that during certain times of the year (such as flu season), the phone lines can have high call volumes from policyholders.
As a result, Aetna has launched a dedicated agent phone line (866-272-6630) to give you faster access to the people and information you need to service your clients and manage your business. This will replace the existing number (800-264-4000) for agents.
They've also been reviewing call volumes and times over the last several months. As a result of this review, Aetna has changed the hours of operation. Effective immediately:
If you happen to call the old number, you'll still be able to reach Aetna (it will just take a bit longer to be transferred). Be sure to save the new number now to get ready before AEP arrives!
