Accendo Discontinues Med Supp Product In Multiple States

Accendo has made the decision to discontinue their Med Supp in multiple states.

This exit really caught us off guard, but please know that we have all of the Med Supp carriers out there, and we can help you find a good replacement if you need one. If you want to discuss this or have any questions, call us at 888-780-7676.

4/28: CO, GA, IA, IN, MD, NE, RI, VT, WI

Accendo is discontinuing writing new Med Supp policies, effective April 28, 2023, in the following states: CO, GA, IA, IN, MD, NE, RI, VT, WI

Sales materials are no longer available to order for Accendo Medicare Supplement plans in these states. This change does not affect the availability of our other Aetna Medicare Supplement insurance plans.

The closure of the Accendo Medicare Supplement product in the above states will not impact your existing policyholders. Commission renewals will continue to be paid on your existing Accendo Medicare Supplement policies.

5/28: AZ, ID, NM, OK, TX, WY

Accendo is discontinuing their Medicare Supplement plans in six states (AZ, ID, NM, OK, TX, WY) on May 28, 2023. Sales materials for Accendo Medicare Supplement plans in these states will be available until May 17.

The closure of the Accendo Medicare Supplement product in the above states will not impact your existing policyholders. Commission renewals will continue to be paid on your existing Accendo Medicare Supplement policies.

The last application submission and signature date for Accendo Medicare Supplement plans in these states will be May 28, 2023. This applies to both electronic and paper applications. We will no longer accept new applications for Accendo Medicare Supplement policies in these states after May 28.

Here are the plans Aetna will continue to offer:

  • Arizona (AHLIC 7% household discount)
  • Idaho (AHLIC)
  • New Mexico (CLI 7% household discount)
  • Oklahoma (AHIC 7% household discount)
  • Texas (AHIC 7% household discount)
  • Wyoming (ACI 5% household discount)

6/28: AR, CA, IL, KS, MI, MS, SC, TN, UT, NC

Accendo is discontinuing their Medicare Supplement plans in 10 states (AR, CA, IL, KS, MI, MS, SC, TN, UT, NC) on June 28, 2023. Sales materials for Accendo Medicare Supplement plans in these states will be available until June 16.

The closure of the Accendo Medicare Supplement product in the above states will not impact your existing policyholders. Commission renewals will continue to be paid on your existing Accendo Medicare Supplement policies.

The last application submission and signature date for Accendo Medicare Supplement plans in these states will be June 28, 2023. This applies to both electronic and paper applications. We will no longer accept new applications for Accendo Medicare Supplement policies in these states after June 28.

7/28: ND, NJ, OH, OR, PA

Accendo is discontinuing their Medicare Supplement plans in North Dakota, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, and Pennsylvania effective July 28, 2023. Sales materials for Accendo Medicare Supplement plans in these states will be available until July 14.

The closure of the Accendo Medicare Supplement product in the above states will not impact your existing policyholders. Commission renewals will continue to be paid on your existing Accendo Medicare Supplement policies.

The last application submission and signature date for Accendo Medicare Supplement plans in these states will be July 28, 2023. This applies to both electronic and paper applications. We will no longer accept new applications for Accendo Medicare Supplement policies in these states after July 28.

  • New Jersey (AHIC 7% household discount)
