Short-Term Care Training Hub Updated for 2021

Short-Term Care Training Hub Updated for 2021
April 27, 2021

We released a Short-Term Care training and marketing kit in 2017, and we’re excited to announce it’s officially updated for 2021. It even has a new name – the Short-Term Care Training Hub!

In the last couple of years, two carriers (Medico and Equitable) have stopped selling short-term care products, one carrier entirely changed its product (UNL), and some carriers have expanded their national footprint.

The four carriers now featured in our STC training materials include:

  1. Aetna
  2. Banker’s Fidelity
  3. Standard Life
  4. United National Life (UNL)

In our Short-Term Care training e-book, you’ll find all the information you need to learn the product and get sales-ready.

Our top pick is still Aetna’s Protection Series Recovery Care product, and for several good reasons:

  • Brand recognition: most consumers recognize the Aetna name, and many clients will enjoy packaging several of Aetna’s products together for a more straightforward application process.
  • Helpful sales materials: Aetna’s Recovery Care brochure has many useful statistics and facts that’ll assist you with your sales presentation.
  • Home care rider: Many people would rather get help from the comfort of their home versus an assisted living facility or nursing home. With Aetna’s plan, your client can add on home care as a rider.
  • Affordable rates: A 65-year-old client can purchase a 365-day benefit period with a 20-day waiting period including $200/day coverage for around $80/month (not including home care rider).

If you want to help clients plan for expensive long-term care costs without the sky-high premiums of traditional LTC insurance, consider learning more about short-term care.

Some coverage is always better than no coverage.
