My name is Rhonda Tyler, and I’m an Agent Support Advisor here at New Horizons. I assist agents with all things related to life insurance and annuities.
I help with applications and forms, which can be very overwhelming. I also help make sense of all the carrier’s requirements. My job is to do all the back-office work to help you through the entire process, from getting contracted with the right carriers to getting the policy approved. You make the sale; we’ll handle the rest.
The whole New Horizons family is an amazing team, and we all share the same goal – to make the customer happy.
Prior to joining New Horizons, I worked with agents in the crop insurance business for 9 years. Independent agents were my favorite, because they deal with people on a personal level, and that is how they want to be treated, also.
I grew up in a small town of 1,500 only 25 miles south of Decatur, IL. As a kid, I remember knowing everyone in town and trusting that you could run through anyone’s yard if it was the shortest distance to where you were going. We knew it was time to go home when the streetlights came on and we could go all over town (except for crossing the railroad tracks where the only highway was).
All I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a wife and mommy, just like my mom. I was very fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom for 12 years. I raised my two boys in a very happy, Christian home. Being a mother changes you – it makes you so much more empathetic, yet stronger at the same time.
When I’m not working, I love catching a beautiful image on camera – my sons were always my favorite models. I enjoy working with digital photography, and one of my favorite pastimes is going to see scary movies.
