You are ready to sell Cigna's new Med Supp

By now, you should have received a contract amendment to add our new CHLIC Medicare Supplement to your Associate Agreement along with a CHLIC compensation schedule. You are set up to sell the new Med Supp plans with the same agent number, same hierarchy, and same level. There is no action needed at this time. This email provides important information for our agents about the CHLIC launch, including the release timeline and FAQs.

Release timeline

As a reminder, we will roll-out the new Med Supp in stages, with the first states to be released in early September 2016 and final states to be released in 2018. If a state is not listed here, it will be released in 2017 or 2018. We will notify you when states are approved and when you can order material.

Here is our anticipated timeline (pending state approval):

FAQs

What is my agent number, hierarchy and level for CHLIC?

You are set up under the same agent number, same hierarchy, and same level you have for ARLIC and/or Loyal.

Do I need to sign the amendment and return to Cigna?

No, you do not need to do anything right now. When you – or a sub-agent of yours – write an application for one of the CHLIC Med Supp plans, or you receive any commissions associated with the CHLIC Med Supp plans, you agree to the amendment and compensation schedule.

When will you release the new Med Supp in my state?

We are releasing states in phases. Please refer to the timeline above. If your state is not listed, then we will be releasing it in 2017 or 2018.

When will the materials be ready?

We will notify you when states are approved and when you can order material. Generally materials will be ready 30 – 45 days before the product is released in the state.
